Where can I Self-Care in Dallas? I travel to Dallas at least once a month to visit family. When I’m there, most of my time is spent with them in Mansfield, which is 35 miles from Dallas. It gives me the space to grieve and heal away from New Orleans, which is so important on this widow journey. I discovered a long time ago that Self-Care is my love language and I know that Dallas speaks it. As a Self-Care Strategist, my mission is to find the best places for self-care and share them with you.
AWAY Spa Dallas
As a widow mom, I need my AWAY time. The AWAY Spa Dallas, located on the 16th floor of the W Dallas-Victory Hotel, was the perfect place to indulge in self-care on Easter weekend. I refilled my self-care prescription with a De-Stress 50 min massage, Lux 75 min Pedi and sky-high views.
Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Felicia Powers, the AWAY Spa Coordinator, with a detox shot and glass of champagne. Felicia gave me a tour of the facility which opened in September of 2021. The women’s locker room was bright and airy, with amenities such as robe and slippers, steam shower, dry sauna, relaxation lounge and vanity area. After I changed into my comfy robe, I walked over to the relaxation room to take advantage of the amazing view while I waited for my service.
My first service was the De-Stress massage with head-clearing oils by Comfort Zone, moderate pressure and tension-releasing techniques. The foot detox with Italian mud was everything! I left all of my stress and anxiety on that table. The second service was the Lux Pedi which included a luminizing peel, toning mask and gel polish. The Tranquility Oil that was used for my services is a best seller.
In addition to the amazing views from the relaxation room, spa guests are also given complimentary access to W Dallas-Victory’s Wet Deck pool, bar and loungers. I can’t forget to mention that it’s a panoramic infinity pool on the 16th floor.
Who said that self-care takes too much time? The AWAY Spa offers a Quick Fix Menu for those on the go which includes a 25 min massage or facial.
Mother’s Day is approaching and you can’t go wrong with a Spa Day and Staycation. A day at the spa is also a great for bridal parties and girl’s trips. Don’t forget about couples! Duo massages are also available.
AWAY Spa Dallas is definitely what the doctor ordered. I can’t wait to return for a staycation, pool day and brunch at Villa Azur.
