Self Care Ideas for Moms
Do you want to know the perfect self care ideas for moms? I don’t want a Mother’s Day gift. I need a break.
Yeah, I said it for ALL of us. Of course, I appreciate the cards, flowers, and gifts, but I need a mommy break. I NEED Self-Care.
It doesn’t matter if you are a widow, single, or married mom. You DESERVE a break. You deserve ME TIME. Don’t let anybody tell you anything different OR make you feel bad for wanting to.
I don’t know who else needs to read this, but…Taking a break from your kids is self-care.
Ok, so now that I’ve told you that you need to take a break, here are 5 Self Care Gift Ideas for Moms:
1. Take a Perfect Bath
Taking a bath is a great way to practice self-care. A luxurious bath allows you to relax and recharge. You must get the perfect bath items to experience pure bliss.
2. Schedule “ME TIME”
As moms, we are the “schedulers.” We schedule doctor’s appointments for the kids, make dinner reservations, and keep track of all the important school dates. It’s time to add ourselves to that planner.
Pencil in your “me time.” Make it non-negotiable. Put everyone else in the house “on notice.” Use this time to do whatever you want. Watch your favorite TV show, take your pilates class, and paint your toenails. Let them know that “mom is unavailable.”
3. Do something FUN
Remember when you used to have fun? Was it before you had kids? If you answered yes, you NEED to call up your girls and have some good laughs. Turn on your playlist and let “Cash Money take it over for the 99 and 2000.”
4. Try Something New
Try something new. Venture outside of your comfort zone. Sometimes that “new” thing can change your life! I want to try a reiki session! The last new thing I tried was floating.
5. Book a Staycation
Sometimes the best break is one away from home. I am a huge advocate for taking staycations. Look for deals in your city. It doesn’t always have to be a weekend. Weekdays are often cheaper. USE YOUR PTO.

Mommas, you deserve a break. Taking time for ourselves makes us better moms. There are so many benefits of self-care for moms. We can’t give our family the best if we aren’t at our best. These are just five ideas. I have plenty more.
